Home of the Osceola & St. Croix Railway, Osceola is a charming village I passed through on Saturday on my way south from Interstate Park. You can take train rides, too, starting from this historic train station/depot. I decided to post process one version of this photo to give an old time look.
Only an hour from the Twin Cities are the Interstate Parks of Minnesota and Wisconsin, situated on either side of the St. Croix River’s Dalles. The Wisconsin park was the first Wisconsin state park. The Minnesota park was the second Minnesota state park (Itasca was the first Minnesota park)
