Picture of the Day: Glacial Erratic

One of the things I love, as many of you know, is glaciers, and what they leave on the landscapes. Eskers, kettle ponds, drumlins, moraines…and oh, yes, glacial erratics.

Yellowstone National Park, once covered by glaciers, has a number of the latter if you know where to look. So today’s picture is a picture of a glacial erratic, along with someone who might look familiar for purposes of scale.
