Probably third place in the constellation of F/SF awards is the reader’s awards from Locus Magazine, the premier magazine for information on F and SF novels.
The results from their reader’s poll are now in. Unlike the Nebulas (which I can’t vote in), and the Hugos (which I don’t because I’ve never gone to Worldcon), I can and do vote in these every year.
If they had a category for best new writer or such, I’d definitely put in for Sarah Bear next year…
